The Station is a four-piece progressive rock band out of Springfield, IL. By blending genres such as funk, bluegrass, rock, jazz and blues,The Station creates irresistible grooves felt throughout the audience. Well-crafted songs, improvisational jams and experimenting with different musical styles are at the heart of what The Station brings to the stage. Throughout the course of a night,The Station is bound to explore all types of music. One song will be all-out funk,driven by sax and bass,while the next will be characterized by group improvisation,where floating guitar lines weave in and out of one another.The song after that may be more composed and crafted.
