Pomeroy is an eight year old band of 5 from Kansas City. Born in a time when rap-rock and pop-punk ruled the scenes, Pomeroy had difficult choices to make early in their career. The band had a song that caught on to Midwest radio in the spring of 1999. It was a heavy song with a distinct, robotic sounding rock riff and clever catchy rhymes. It fit right in with the whole rap-rock explosion. Fans began to flock to their shows overnight and Pomeroy began selling out venues they had previously struggled in. The shows got bigger and the touring circle got broader. Then the labels came. To the labels it was a no-brainer. Make a record where every song is just like your popular song and we can do business together. To the band it was a different story. Some still see the band as it was in the spring of 1999.
