The Waiting Room Lounge is one of the premiere live music venues in the Midwest. 1% Productions originally opened it in 2007, but then drastically remodeled and upgraded two years later. The Waiting Room Lounge now boasts a comfortable and open viewing experience along with excellent and up-to-date sound and lighting enjoyed by both the performers and the fans. The venue anchors the downtown Benson area of Omaha Nebraska, an area that has become a hub for live music and many facets of the arts. The Waiting Room opened when many empty store-fronts lined Maple Street. It saw a vision for what the area could become and invested in the neighborhood that now has almost full occupancy with many restaurants, drinking establishments, galleries, and vintage retail.
